Jackie Lee is an accomplished entrepreneur. Shopable.TV is her second venture. Jackie’s first company, Recruit My Friends is a talent management agency for top engineers. RMF represents software engineers from across North America to help them find great jobs working with the best managers at the coolest companies. Focusing on fast-growth tech firms, Jackie and her team help their candidates find accelerated management positions in both Canada and the US. Recruit My Friends has offices based in Waterloo, Toronto, New York, and San Francisco.
Jackie graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2006, and obtained an Honours Science Degree with a minor in Psychology. She was a member of the Women’s Varsity Tennis team and was a student fundraiser, raising over $1 Million dollars. Jackie was an early executive of the Impact Entrepreneurship Group which is Canada’s fastest growing, student-run entrepreneurship organization (www.impact.org). In 2005, she was awarded the UW President Circle’s Award and now sits on the 16 member Alumni Council for the University of Waterloo. In January 2010, Jackie was awarded the UW Young Alumni Award.
Justin graduated with a Bachelor of Software Engineering from the University of Waterloo in 2006. He spent 3 years in the Website Platform group at Amazon.com, in Seattle, WA, as both a Software Development Engineer, and Program Manager developing and leading several projects to create the next generation e-commerce platform for Amazon.com.
In 2009, he co-founded Starwood Labs Inc., a company aimed at bringing analytics and metrics to the advertising industry by leveraging the latest technology innovations. In 2010, he joined the Shopable.TV founding team and brings his technical and business experience to the interactive television space.
Debo graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2005 with a BMath in Computer Science / Bioinformatics. Midway through a M.Sc program in Computer Science at the University of British Columbia, he took a position at Google Research. There, he worked with and eventually led a team in productionizing research prototypes.
After returning to BC to complete his M.Sc, Debo worked as a Software Engineer at PlateSpin/Novell, where he developed products focused on datacentre analysis and disaster recovery. He joined the Shopable.TV team as a founding member in 2010.
Debo has additionally won obscure short story contests, taught mathematics and software engineering to hundreds of unfortunates, drummed vigourously, and competed as North America's scrawniest powerlifter. At any given time, has probably consumed more caffeine than you.
